Clarification + Guidance
Gestalt therapy support for life and decision-making issues
When something starts to move
Sometimes you sense long before your mind does that something isn’t right anymore. A sense of unease, exhaustion, a quiet question that won’t go away.
You keep going—yet at the same time, you feel that you’ve reached a point where carrying on as before is no longer enough.
Often, it’s not clear what needs to change. Just that something does. This service is designed for precisely these moments.
Typical issues
-
Professional or personal decisions that cannot be resolved through reflection alone
-
Questions of meaning and direction during life transitions
-
Recurring relationship patterns that you want to understand and move past
-
Exhaustion that does not go away with rest alone
-
The feeling that two inner voices are both right—and contradict each other
What happens during the process
We don’t start with analysis, but with what you bring to the table.
It often becomes clear that:
The decision you’re seeking isn’t a choice between A and B. Rather, it’s a movement that becomes possible only when something else is allowed to be seen and felt.
Behind many questions seeking clarification lie unresolved tensions between basic needs—for security, for growth, for independence.
My perspective on this stems from my work with the Zurich Model of Social Motivation.
During the session itself, however, it is not about models, but about what becomes alive within you when we look there.
The goal is not to give you an answer. Rather, it is to open up an inner space where your own answer can emerge.
The difference from a longer therapeutic process
Clarification and orientation sessions are shorter in duration—often between 5 and 15 sessions.
The goal is to get to the bottom of an issue, find a direction, and allow a decision to mature.
If it becomes apparent during the process that something deeper needs to be addressed—old patterns, traumas, a fundamental process—we will discuss this openly. You will then decide whether or not you would like to transition into a longer-term Gestalt therapy process.
